Today, researchers have uncovered critical vulnerabilities affecting over 3 million Saflok electronic RFID locks, spanning across 13,000 hotels and residences globally. These vulnerabilities pose a significant security risk, as they enable researchers to effortlessly unlock any door within a hotel premise using forged keycards. This revelation underscores the pressing need for heightened security measures and proactive mitigation strategies within the hospitality industry to safeguard against unauthorized access and potential breaches.
Following the Pwn2Own Vancouver 2024 hacking competition, Firefox has released security updates to fix two zero-day vulnerabilities in its web browser.
